Fr. Andrew visits Year 6

On Wednesday 3rd November, Fr. Andrew came to visit Year 6 to hold a talk and answer their questions about the role of a priest and Fr. Andrew’s personal experiences of becoming a Catholic priest. Year 6’s current R.E. topic is all about vocations, in particular the vocation and responsibilities involved in being a Catholic priest. Year 6 asked some really thoughtful and relevant questions in order to prise as much information out of Fr. Andrew as they could. He told us all about his personal experiences of how he knew he wanted to become a priest, and his journey to becoming a Catholic priest. It was great to have the first-hand insight of a priest, and this massively helped Year 6 understand the many roles and responsibilities that come with being a serving member of the priesthood.

We got to meet all the other children starting in our class and started making friends with them. We played outside on our playground and we even got to play with some of the children from Year 1 and Year 2.

Next week, we will get to meet our Year 6 buddy!
