As we all know, IT is an ever changing environment where one minute you have the latest tech and the next it is out of date. At The Willows we have had interactive whiteboards for a number of years and updating the software as often as possible. 

This summer we took the plunge and updated all of these old interactive whiteboards to the latest interactive panels. Each classroom now has a 75″ Promethean ActivPanel – gone are the projectors which cast a shadow when anyone walks in front of them. 

The exciting thing about these devices is they run in the same way as an android tablet that you might have at home – just a whole lot bigger. For example, we can install phonics apps on them for our younger children to use. 

Whilst these devices represent a significant investment for us, we are confident they will have a hugely positive impact on our children’s learning.
