Physical Activity

After School Sports Clubs

At The Willows we are keen to offer as many sporting opportunities to our children as possible. We also provide alternative sporting and physical activities that are not always taught in P.E., to allow more children to access and enjoy physical activity and learn new skills. Extra curricular P.E. and sport clubs are available throughout the year for different age groups across school.

Have a look at the posts below to see what we’ve been up to!

Golden Mile

The Golden Mile is a safe, simple and measurable health & physical activity initiative accessible to all our pupils regardless of age or ability. We aim to inspire and encourage our school community through physical activity with the focus on fun, rewarding personal achievement, raising money and school competition.

We reinforce the message from the Department of Health that children should engage in regular daily physical activity habits across the week, every week all year round.

The Golden Mile is an ALL YEAR ROUND initiative whereby pupils and staff can get involved. We can either walk, jog or run around our Golden Mile track and then record our laps ready for the Year 6 children to collate the results and announce in assembly who our weekly winners are.
