PTFA

Can you volunteer?

The Willows’ PTFA is always looking for new members and volunteers.
Please consider joining us – we understand everyone has commitments, there is no obligation to attend every meeting.

If you have a fundraising idea or a special skill (e.g., face painting, accountancy, crafting, DJing, event organisation, baking, gardening, photography) that you can offer please let us know. Everyone’s input is always gratefully received, and ideas are always welcome.

Come and join us…

The PTFA generally meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month in the staffroom at school.

8th March – 6:30pm: Planning session for the ‘Wish List’
31st March – 6:00pm just before the Easter Bingo: Planning for the Race Night
10th May – 6:30pm: Planning the Summer Fayre
14th June – 6:30pm: Annual General Meeting

Hello and welcome to the PTFA

My name is Suzanne Boylan and I am the Chair of The Willows PTFA and I am the mum of Gerard in Year 4.

The PTFA is made up of a group of parents of children in the school, ably supported by other family members (we have a lot of help from grandparents at several of our events), who have always worked closely with the fantastic staff at The Willows to organise events that bring people together in a social setting and also to raise money that the school can use to benefit all of the children.

Some of the events we regularly put on include Easter Bingo, Woodland Evening, Summer Fayre, Race Night and Discos for the children. These occasions are a great opportunity for the families to meet each other and hopefully have fun as well as to make some money.

The PTFA meets a couple of times a term and the meetings are very relaxed and informal. There is no obligation to attend all meetings or events, but everybody’s input is greatly valued and ideas are always gratefully received.

Following the unsettled 20 months or so that we’ve all experienced, we’ve been unable to do as much as we would normally do.

Please read on to see what we’ve been up to in the past and what we’ve started to do more recently…
