Mrs Johnson (our Chair of Governors) was delighted today to be able to share the report from our recent Diocesan RE Inspection in which we achieved ‘Outstanding’ in all areas. This Section 48 Inspection, as it is known, covers all aspects of the Catholic Life of the school, including the Religious Education. The Inspectors looked at all aspects of the school day, observed RE lessons and Prayer and Liturgy across school. They interviewed staff, governors and pupils and they were very impressed with our school family. This short inspection gave the inspectors an opportunity to see that our children continue to receive excellent pastoral care and the very best education in the Catholic faith.
Mrs Johnson said, “I would like to thank Mrs. Barnett , Mr. Wylde and Mrs. Roddy (our RE Subject Leaders) as well as all the staff for their hard work. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful and dedicated staff who work so hard all year round; their knowledge and experience is second to none and I would like to take this opportunity to thank and congratulate them all. Thanks are also due to you all as parents. From both your feedback and involvement with the school, supporting your own children and the school in general, you are part of what makes our school so special. Thank you. Lastly but by no means least, I must thank our children. They are all stars. They work hard, are kind to each other and rise to any challenge. Parishioners often comment to me on how well the children behave in church. They respond well in Mass and their prayerfulness, and attitude to both the Word of God, as well as responses to Father make them a credit to you as parents. I was particularly pleased that the inspectors could see this too. I am very blessed and privileged to be a part of such a wonderful community. May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy Christmas.”
