1st to 5th October 2018

After a wonderful week at Tower Wood, all of our children have grown as individuals, as friends as a team.

When we arrived at Tower Wood, we asked the children why they thought their parents and our school, wanted them to come for a week away. The children came up with these objectives:

  • Learn new life skills
  • Keep trying when something seems difficult
  • Have fun!

All three objectives have been achieved and then some! The children all learnt a great deal from the experience – skills that will stay with them for a very long time!

As a school, we are particularly keen to develop a sense of resilience in our children. This week, our Year 6 children had to be very resilient. There were times when things were difficult, when the weather made keeping going difficult, when the hills just kept on coming.

Thank you to all the parents who enabled their children to take part in such a fantastic activity and thank you to the staff that made it possible.
