Welcome to Year 1’s class page…
Have a look at our page to find out about the exciting learning we do in Year 1.
Mrs. Roddy teaches Year 1 with the support from Mrs Sevens, Mrs Hayes and Miss Stedman. Mrs. Hayes teaches us on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons – Mrs. Roddy is the school’s SENCO. Miss Mallinson takes us for our music lesson on Wednesday morning.
This term’s Stars!
Now that we are allowed to have assemblies together again, we have restarted our Star Award Assembly on Friday morning. This is a very special assembly where Mrs. Roddy tells us how amazing one of our friends has been this week – our parents are even allowed to come! Well done to all of our recent Star Award winners.
Things to know about…
Year 1 is a very busy year as we start working on the National Curriculum. There is so much to learn but we always have lots and lots of fun.
Homework – For our homework we read every night. On a Friday we also get Maths or English homework and spellings. All of our homework will now be set on Seesaw.
PE – PE takes place on a Tuesday morning with Mrs. Roddy and a Wednesday afternoon with Mrs. Hayes. Mrs Hayes also teaches us Science.
We hope you enjoy looking at our page and watching us grow throughout the year!
