Year 3 started their new science topic ‘Rocks and Soils’ by comparing and grouping together different kinds of rocks based of their appearance.

Children worked together to group different rocks and used a magnifying glass to look at them more closely. 

The children loved looking at all of the different rocks and noticed differences in their colour, shape and size. Some children even spotted some sparkly rocks!
