Year 3 – Stone Age Fun!
Year 3 had a fabulous Stone Age Day packed full of fun and adventure!Â
The children spent the morning in our Forest School area with Mrs Hayes completing lots of different Stone Age activities.
They looked at primitive ways of fire lighting and used fire strikers to make a spark, cooked their very own bread on the fire, enjoyed smashing and bashing conkers to make soap and even made made their very own clay pots!Â
To finish their session, children played ‘spear the woolly mammoth’ and took it in turn to use wooden spears that they had whittled to spear the woolly mammoth.
In the afternoon, the children found out about Stonehenge and competed in groups to make the best ‘biscuit henge’!Â
