On Wednesday 2nd March, Year 4, 5 and 6 held an Orienteering Day to help develop their understanding of what orienteering is, map reading and team-work skills.

The children had a wonderful time participating several different orienteering courses in pairs and individually. A particular highlight was the score competition, where the children had a 2 minute time limit to find as many controls as they could before the time limit. The children helped Aled and Graham create a map of the KS2 playground, listing all of the key features and thinking carefully about the proportion when drawing the features on the map.
