Year 4 Harvest Prayer and Liturgy
On Thursday 19th October, Year 4 led the school in a Harvest-themed Prayer and Liturgy. The children did an excellent job explaining why we celebrate Harvest during autumn and how it is a time to show both care and generosity towards others.
With this in mind, the children’s mission part of the Prayer and Liturgy was to collect various non-perishable food items which we could give to a local charity. We chose to work with Care and Share, a local charity that provide in-need families with food and support. As you can see from the pictures, we were overwhelmed with the vast donations and cannot thank our parents and families enough!
As there were so many food items, our contributions were shared between Care and Share and the Fylde Food Bank. Thank you to everyone who donated, our shared generosity has gone a long way to supporting those local families most in need!
