Year 4
Welcome to Year 4’s class page…
Welcome to Year 4’s page of our website. Here you will find lots of information about what we will be doing and what we have been doing!
Mrs. Morgan teaches Year 4 and is supported by Mrs Bird, Mrs. Spacey and Mrs Smith. Miss Mallinson takes us on Friday morning for Music.

This term’s Stars!
Now that we are allowed to have assemblies together again, we have restarted our Star Award Assembly on Friday morning. This is a very special assembly where Mrs. Morgan tells us how amazing one of our friends has been this week – our parents are even allowed to come! Well done to all of our recent Star Award winners.
Things to know about…
Just like the rest of the school, we are set homework on a Friday and it is due in for the following Friday. As we are in Year 4, we are starting to get ready for the build up in homework as we go into Year 5 and Year 6 and then on to high school. For this reason we get either English or Maths homework that will last about half an hour; some weeks we will get both English and Maths work to do.
We are also given a set of Spellings and Times Tables to learn on a Friday – we have our test the following Friday.
Reading is incredibly important in Year 4. We are encouraged to read as often as possible – aiming to read at home at least five times a week.
Our PE sessions are timetabled for Tuesday and Friday mornings. Sometimes this has to change – especially if the weather is nice.
